When You Visit

An usher/greeter will welcome you to visit in our Christ Church worship space and answer any questions you may have regarding the service or the church family.

When you visit, you will receive a worship aid with a service outline listing hymns and page numbers in the Book of Common Prayer. Please ask an usher or a neighboring worshipper to assist you if you have difficulty finding your place in the Book of Common Prayer or following the service outline. On special days, i.e., baptisms, church on the lawn, Christmas, Easter--the entire service is printed in the worhsip aid.

To begin our service, you will be welcomed. You will not be singled out to stand or introduce yourself. Our church mission is: A church family, alive in Christ.

Contact cards are available in the pews, and you are invited to complete the card and place it into the collection plate or return it to the church at your convenience. You will be phoned or emailed and a follow-up visit made by one of our welcoming committee members if you desire it.

All are welcome to receive communion at Christ Church. To receive the bread, place your hands together, palms up, and the priest or deacon will place a wafer into your hand. You may consume the wafer and then drink from the communion cup, or you may intinct (dip) the wafer into the wine. If you do not wish to receive communion, but you desire a blessing from the priest, cross your hands over your heart as a signal to the priest.

Our church family is alive and growing. We welcome all people. Child care is available for small children by licensed daycare providers in our nursery during the Sunday School/Adult Education hour and the 10 a.m. Service.

On Sunday mornings, adult education is usually available at 9 a.m. Sunday School is open to all children and meets upstairs in the Sunday School room at 9. Children's worship is held in the Sunday School room at 10, with the children joining the congregation around 10:30.
